If Glucosa were a dish, it would fit perfectly into fusion cuisine. Its design recipe combines ingredients from diverse origins, which complement each other to create a bouquet of new flavours and venture into little-explored typographic terrain. Clean on a macro level, Glucosa avoids the risk of appearing static and repetitive thanks to its organic nature: while the underlying structure is composed of firm, decisive strokes, the finish has a sweet, penetrating softness: corners are slightly rounded, dots are squared, and some glyphs even seem to have been dipped in honey. Others resemble objects that were subject to erosion, smoothed by the wind. The high energy is brought to the maximum in the italics. Glucosa balances the notions of functionality and flavour: it is a useful tool for the text designer and a multifaceted treat for the typographic gourmet.
